In this clip there isn't many shots involved. All together there is approximately 3 shots. These shots used are establishing shot, medium shot and a close up. The establishing shot is used to show a view of the location.

The medium shot is used to show the guy on his bed reaching out to his alarm clock. Finaly there is a close up on the character on his bed who just woke up.
Sound of the man speaking, and alarm ringing,, close up of face, the mise en scene was used by using the mansshirt as the same clour waya as the autumn weather outside witch collrelated well with its lumbr jack look, simulary the beard and hair colour i.e. brown, also matched the weather, the mise en scene is also used in negotiantion with the lamps in the room, the grey colour carpet and the narator's explaining death.

the narator telling the overall stroy of the film,
